Practical grazing management for healthy productive pastures and livestock is the theme of the Extended Grazing Day being held at Anchor JB Ranch in Acme on July 13 and 14, 2011. The two-day event will cover topics related to pasture plants, the principles of grazing, pasture inventory and grazing tools. Registration fee is $600 per person plus GST. Pre-registration with a $100 deposit is required. Subject to space, mature youths aged 12 to 17 are free when accompanied by an adult. Course materials, two textbooks, complimentary memberships for FFGA and GWFA, 3 lunches, 1 supper and refreshments are included in the registration fee.
