The WGRF Endowment Fund encourages research proposals from applicants on projects related to all crop types, not only wheat and barley. Over the next 2 years, WGRF plans to increase total spending on LOI Research to more than $800,000 annually. WGRF has a total new project funding of approximately $250,000 per year for three years for the 2011 application process. While the maximum per project is $150,000 per year, the average successful research application is typically for $50,000 per year with projects spanning between a 1 to 3 year period. Effectively, this equates to WGRF funding 4 to 6 new projects from the 2011 application process.
The next Letter of Intent Application Process will open in January 2011. All applicants must submit a Letter of Intent before the deadline of April 1, 2011, 4:00 pm Central Standard Time, by using the online form provided below.
